The Muslim International Forum, which takes place annually in December, traditionally becomes a summing up of the year and formulates the current development vectors for the coming year. 2020 was a very unusual and complex year, full of events and new ideas in its own way. The most significant results of 2020 are analyzed in a traditional interview following the discussions of the XVI International Muslim Forum "The culture of encounter: religious ethics during the pandemic" by the Executive Secretary of the MIF, First Deputy Chairman of the RBM of the Russian Federation, Doctor of theology Damir Mukhetdinov.

The organizing Committee of the Muslim International Forum expresses deepest condolences in relation to the death of the mother of the Executive Secretary of the MIF Damir-hazrat Mukhetdinov.

The Russian Organizing Committee Pobeda presented Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, General Secretary of the Muslim International Forum, with a commemorative medal "75 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" for active participation in patriotic education of citizens and solving socio-economic problems of veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

10th December 2020, the XVI international Muslim forum "The culture of encounter: religious ethics during the pandemic" was held in the format of an online conference. The forum was dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the great Muslim philosopher Abu Nasr al-Farabi. Developing the ideas of al-Farabi, its participants discussed approaches to building harmonious societies and overcoming disunity and contradictions between peoples.

26th of November, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Moscow Islamic Institute (MII) and the Bolgar Islamic Academy (BIA) took place. The document was signed by the heads of educational institutions - rector of the Academy Daniyar Abdrakhmanov and rector of the Institute, Executive Secretary of the MMF Damir Mukhetdinov.
