Executive secretary, Head of the working group of the Muslim International Forum visited the the North Caucasus

Executive secretary, Head of the working group of the Muslim International Forum, Damir Mukhetdinov, visited the Republic of North Ossetia (Russia), where he met with the head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Vyacheslav Bitarov, and he also met with the leadership of the North Ossetian State University, where he gave a lecture for university students and teachers. Damir Mukhetdinov also read a sermon at the Friday namaz in the Central mosque of Vladikavkaz and spoke to students of Gorsky Agrarian State University. 

During a lecture at the North Ossetian State University, Damir Mukhetdinov presented his book “The History of Islam in Russia”.

“I presented my work“ The History of Islam in Russia ”, where I detailed the main milestones in the development of Islam in our country. I conveyed the main idea to the audience, which was that the process of spreading Islam in Russia is woven into the history of a number of political entities whose existence can be viewed as stages in the development of Russian statehood”.


The meeting was attended by the Minister for National Relations of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Aslan Tsutsiev, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the chairman of the movement “Our Ossetia” Vyacheslav Lagkuev, professor Dr. Ruslan Bzarov, as well as representatives of the authorities and intellectuals.

On Friday, April 5, Damir Mukhetdinov spent Friday namaz in the Cathedral Mosque of Vladikavkaz, in which he spoke about the importance of the struggle of each person with their own ego. After the namaz, Damir Mukhetdinov, accompanied by the mufti of North Ossetia, Khadzhimurat Gatsalov visited school number 1 in the city of Beslan, where, on September 1, 2004, 314 hostages died innocent, including 186 children, and he also visited the memorial cemetery of the victims of this terrible terrorist act.

“We pray to Almighty Allah that this will never happen again, and the guilty will be punished accordingly, both in this life and in eternal life. Truly, Allah is the fairest of judges! ” - said Damir Mukhetdinov with a pain in his voice.
