Meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau
The Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation hosted a meeting between representatives of the RBM RF and the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau. RBM RF was represented at the meeting by: 1st Deputy Chairman of the RBM RF, Executive Secretary of the Muslim International Forum Damir Mukhetdinov, Business Administrator Rafik Fattakhetdinov, Adviser to the Chairman on Economy and Culture Rustem Gizatullin, Head of the ICSIS "Halal" Aidar Gazizov. The diplomatic mission of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau was represented by: Ambassador Mr. Alfredo Cristovau Gomes Lopes, Minister Plenipotentiary Mr. Joao Moussa Dantas, 1st Secretary and Consul Mr. Issoufou Sauane, 2nd Secretary Mr. Leopoldo Samori Mendonsa Lopes Cabral; Administrative Secretary Mr. Marcelo Julio Sami.
On behalf of the Chairman of the RBM RFand the RMC, the General Secretary of the Muslim International Forum Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin delivered greetings to Damir Mukhetdinov, who told diplomats about the life of the Muslim Ummah of the Russian Federation and the activities of the Religious Department.
In his speech, Ambassador Alfredo Christovau Gomes Lopes stressed the interest of the African Republic in the development of economic, cultural and religious relations between the Republic of Guinea-Bissau and the Russian Federation.
Aidar Gazizov informed the guests about the work carried out by the ICSIS "Halal", outlining the prospects for cooperation between the countries in the field of the "Halal" industry, taking into account the fact that about 50% of the population of Guinea-Bissau are Muslims.
At the end of the meeting, Damir Mukhetdinov handed the Ambassador a book about Russian Mosques.
