Condolences of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin on the death of Deputy Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Islamic scholar and ex-Mufti of Serbia Muamer Zukorlic:

On behalf of the Religious Board of Muslims and myself, I express my sincere condolences in connection with the sudden passing away of our brother, Deputy Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Islamic scholar and ex-Mufti of Serbia Muamer Zukorlic. Russian Muslims will remember him as a politician and thinker who consistently proved that the Islamic communities of Europe, with all their traditions and interests, can harmoniously exist in the European cultural and political space, negotiate, find compromises and defend their positions without prejudice to state interests. We sincerely mourn the great loss that the European and world Ummah has suffered today and we pray to Allah Almighty to accept the soul of our brother, to show His mercy, generosity and forgiveness to her, and to determine the Heavenly Abode as the place of residence in Eternity. May the Almighty grant patience and perseverance to the relatives and friends of the deceased. Verily we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return.
