The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Russia, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaber, greeted the guests of the Tent. The head of the UAE Diplomatic Mission noted the steady positive dynamics of the development of bilateral relations with the Russian Federation in general and with the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation.

He expressed gratitude to the UAE government and Ambassador Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaber for organizing the evening and noted that "for more than a decade, our countries have been building good relations, implementing a huge number of significant projects in scientific, religious, educational and other spheres."
The Deputy Chairman of the RBM RF noted the global positive changes affecting politics, the economy and other significant areas that have taken place in the UAE in recent years. As the religious figure stressed: "In Abu Dhabi, a historic meeting was held between the head of the most authoritative Islamic University Al-Azhar, Sheikh Ahmad al-Tayyib, and the head of Catholics around the world, Pope Francis. This meeting inspired the Pope to create last October a new encyclical, Fratelli tutti, dedicated to universal brotherhood and serving the purposes of strengthening peace and good-neighborliness. The first translation of the encyclical into Russian was carried out by the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation."
"This year I met the beginning of Ramadan on the Arabian Peninsula – in the United Arab Emirates – very close to the places where these sacred traditions were born," said Yevgeny Eremin, head of the Department for Interaction with Religious Organizations of the Russian President's Office for Internal Policy. He noted that "the warm atmosphere prevailing in the Ramadan Tent in Moscow, where Muslims are congratulated on the beginning of the Blessed Month by representatives of different faiths, will be an example for all other countries." He expressed gratitude to the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation for the hospitality and friendliness, for the fact that the annual festive iftars are held in a sacred place for all Russians - on Poklonnaya Hill. "The UAE preserves ancient historical and religious traditions and at the same time is an example of high modern humanitarian, technical and technological development, an example of tolerance," the official said. He also recalled that this year will mark the anniversary date – the fiftieth anniversary of the United Arab Emirates: "We have come a long way in fifty years, and we probably don't have enough fancy to imagine what major achievements will happen in the next fifty years." The President of the FEOR, Rabbi Alexander Moiseevich Boroda, expressed the opinion that Ramadan is a month of reflection on the most important issues of life and a month of intensive religious work. "Religious people these days strive to do good deeds, help those in need. The fact that people of different faiths take part in the project speaks to the goal that unites us all – to strengthen good-neighborliness in Russian society."
Within the framework of the tent, there was a lot of talks about the unique personality of the first President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the great changes associated with his activities. It was recalled that the XIX Moscow International Competition of Koran Readers (2019) was dedicated to his bright memory, and a year earlier a memorandum was solemnly signed between the Council of Muftis of Russia and the Dubai International Prize of the Holy Koran.
The cultural program of the event was presented by performances of the students of the cultural center "Dar" - "Academy of Talents", MROM" Risalat " and TRIO ORIENTAL.
In a brief interview at the end of the iftar, Ambassador Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaber said: "Our relations with the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation are developing fruitfully and steadily. There are many plans. Just today, we met with the first Deputy head of the RBM RF, Damir Mukhetdinov. There are joint projects in the sphere of humanitarian activities, charity, including assistance to the educational process at the Risalat school (for children who study at the Risalat school).
