Citizens vaccinated with Sputnik V will be allowed into Saudi Arabia
The Saudi authorities will allow people vaccinated against coronavirus with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine to enter the country starting from 1st of January 2022.
Upon entering Saudi Arabia, people vaccinated with Sputnik will have to go through a 48-hour quarantine and pass a PCR test.
This decision will enable believers to make a pilgrimage (Hajj and Umrah) to the shrines of Islam in the cities of Mecca and Medina. It is also noted that this decision plays an important role in increasing tourist flow and developing business ties between the two countries, including within the framework of the activities of the Russian-Saudi Economic Council.
