Berlin (Germany)
Interfaith worship center will be built in Germany
The building will include a mosque, a church and a synagogue. It will be built on the site of an old ruined church and will unite Muslims, Christians and Jews under one roof.

The foundation stone of the building, called the "House of One" (meaning One God), will be put in a ceremony to be held on May 27 in Berlin. The construction will continue for 4 years and, according to the plan, will become the personification of a new interreligious dialogue. It is worth pointing out that the conference hall, which will connect the three temples, will also invite people of other faiths to participate in various discussions and events.

According to the authors of the project, the main idea is that representatives of the three leading world religions can coexist without losing their own identity. The new building will reflect the current Berlin, where people of different faiths live.

The German authorities also reported that the project was supported by the country's religious communities. It was stressed that East Berlin, where the "House of One" will be located, is a fairly secular place and that is why all religious institutions should establish links with all the communities of the city.
