Today, in his speech at the XVI Muslim International Forum "The culture of encounter: religious ethics during the pandemic", the Secretary General of the International Muslim forum, mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, quoted the great Muslim philosopher Abu Nasr al-Farabi.
Understanding the deepest meanings of Revelation, the great Muslim philosopher al-Farabi, whose 1150th birthday is celebrated this year under the auspices of UNESCO, formulated the doctrine of the perfect city, in which the greatest good and the highest perfection are achieved.
The great teacher emphasized that the good and happiness of people stem precisely from genuine, all-round solidarity." - the religious leader stated and quoted the words of the philosopher:"a City where the purpose of uniting people to help each other in matters that achieve true happiness is a perfect city, and a community where people help each other to achieve happiness is a perfect community."
Today's forum, which is held online, is dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi. Developing the ideas of al-Farabi, participants of the international event discuss approaches to building harmonious societies and overcoming disunity and contradictions between peoples.
