Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar Ahmed bin Nasser Al Thani
On 23rd of March, at his residence in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, the religious leader of the Muslims of Russia, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation, Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al Thani. The meeting was attended by the Third Secretary of the Embassy, Abdullah Al-Saai, Deputy Chairman of the RBM RF for International Affairs Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman-Head of the Staff of the RBM RF Ildar Nurimanov and Head of the International Department of the RBM RF Ildar Galeev.
Opening the meeting, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin greeted the eminent guests and conveyed greetings and best wishes to His Highness Emir of the State of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the entire Qatari people.
The topic of multidisciplinary cooperation between Russia and Qatar became the central subject of the meeting. In particular, the head of the RBM RF praised the close cooperation of the leadership of both states in the sphere of security, consultations and cooperation in resolving the Middle East conflicts, ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The sides stressed that thanks to the efforts of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, there is a positive dynamics in the development of bilateral relations in the religious, cultural, sports, educational and economic spheres. Speaking about the development of economic relations, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin mentioned the upcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the guest of honor of which will be the State of Qatar, which will undoubtedly serve to build up the economic partnership between the two countries.
