Preparations have begun for the construction of the Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf Mosque in the United States
The Dunyo news Agency reports that in Cincinnati (USA), the Uzbek diaspora has begun preparations for the construction of the Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf mosque.
The Uzbek organization Hamkor Uz Cincinati Association purchased a land plot of 2.7 hectares.The project is funded by monetary donations received from compatriots living in the United States.
The delegation of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in New York got acquainted with the preparatory activities. During the visit, an inspection of the area was carried out, "The main building for prayer (designed for 600-700 parishioners), auxiliary facilities (special rooms for performing ablutions and others) and a parking lot for more than 100 cars will be located on the territory of the complex. Also inside the complex will be located the office of the diaspora organization Hamkor Uz Cincinati Association and classes for teaching children of compatriots in such subjects as the Uzbek language and literature and others," the report says, which is cited by the news agency "Dunyo".
It is expected that upon completion of the construction, the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan will send one of the imam-khatibs of the republic to conduct religious services in the mosque.
