On 22nd of February, in the GULFOOD-2021 International food exhibition held in Dubai, the Russian delegation met with Dr. Rehab Al Ameri, Director of the National Accreditation Department of the UAE ESMA Office for Standardization and Metrology. From the Russian side the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Levin, Director of export development of agricultural products of Ministry of agriculture of Russia Roman Kekushev, head of VEB, the Russian Federation in the UAE Sergey Muslimov, Vice-President of JSC "Russian export center" Sergey Vologda, Deputy Chairman of the RBM RF Rafik Fattakhutdinov, Director of Mcsis "Halal" in RBM RF Aydar Gazizov, Deputy Director Samat Sadykov.

During the meeting, the parties  discussed issues related to cooperation between interested sides, including changes in the field of accreditation of Russian certification bodies. Representatives of the RBM RF also informed the participants about the process of accreditation of ICSIS Halal and discussed relevant issues related to it. At the request of Aidar Gazizov, the ESMA executive officer informed about the format of the planned audit of ICSiS Halal and its certified enterprises taking into account the pandemic.At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed satisfaction with the joint activities, taking into account the increasing volume of exports of agricultural products to the UAE and other Gulf countries from Russia.
