Saudi Arabia announces the successful completion of the Hajj in 2021
Most of the pilgrims who performed the Hajj this year left Mecca by Thursday afternoon after performing a farewell ritual of circumambulation in the Grand Mosque.

Security, Hajj and health officials confirmed that all their plans were successfully implemented, and no serious health problems were registered.

Saudi Arabia's Health minister, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabia, said that the health plan for the Hajj this year was successful, and no cases of COVID-19 infection were detected.
“I would like to announce that this hajj was a success, no coronavirus infection or any other epidemic diseases were registered, " he said.

Before the final circumambulation of Al-Kaaba, pilgrims threw stones at three pillars in a Mine, and agents representing all government bodies associated with the Hajj monitored the process of throwing stones. Throughout the ritual, the pilgrims observed precautions. To ensure their safety, the pilgrims conducted their ritual of the second day in organized groups.

Pilgrims usually spend three days in Mina on the Days of Tashrik. However, a stay of two days is allowed, provided that the pilgrim leaves before sunset on the second day.

This is called "Taajol", or hasty Hajj. Otherwise, they must remain in the Mine for the third day, when they will be required to repeat the ritual of stoning.

In addition to the Kingdom's impressive efforts in the field of health and safety, some pilgrims were disappointed with the quality of food served by private companies that did not meet the expectations of customers. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said on Twitter that inspection tours revealed poor-quality food in some Hajj camps.

The ministry assured that it would impose severe sanctions on companies that were found to offer second-rate services, after conducting investigations in cooperation with the Saudi Food and Drug Administration and the Municipality of Mecca.

“We will also consider the possibility of revising the valuation of these private companies. Licenses for the provision of services of these contractors may also be revoked, " the ministry said in a statement.

It was also added that the services provided by private companies should correspond to the quality of state bodies that are offered to pilgrims.
