The World Islamic League has presented a new social concept.
The World Islamic League (WIL), headquartered in Mecca, has presented a new social concept aimed at building bridges of friendship and mutual understanding between different faiths and cultures.
"From Mecca to the whole world, we are separated by distances, and targets unite us. Together, we extend an olive branch to build bridges with all of humanity. Let us take the initiative, help, and strengthen our friendship with other nations, peoples, civilizations, and cultures. Let us reflect the Islam of peace, moderation, and humanity in order to achieve a common harmony from which the light of Mecca shines, illuminating the whole world – these are the principles that the League plans to follow in future activities, " says the video, posted on the organization's website.
The World Islamic League is one of the most powerful organizations in the Islamic world. The VIL consists of Muslim theologians, religious, public and political figures from different countries of the world, including Russia. The League's forums consider and resolve the most pressing issues facing Muslims and the world community, and make decisions on a wide range of issues and many spheres.
In 2019, the General Secretary of the WIL, Muhammad Abdul Karim al-Isa, visited the Russian Federation, where he had a full program, including acquaintance with the country, the religious and cultural life of the peoples of Russia, the level of Islamic education, meetings with government officials, religious figures of Orthodoxy and Islam.
The World Islamic League has signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian Foundation for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education, thanks to socially significant projects are being implemented in Russia in the sphere of supporting national Islam and countering extremism.Cooperation agreements were also signed with a number of centralized Muslim religious administrations and the Russian Orthodox Church.
