Events oriented at promoting the Islamic heritage will be held in the Qatari capital throughout the year. The "World Islamic Capital of Culture 2021" festival has now started in Doha.

On 4th of March, Chairman of the Ecclesiastical Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, member of the Council for Cooperation with Religious Associations under the President of the Russian Federation, General secretary of the Muslim International Forum Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation Muhammad Ahmed Al-Jaber. The meeting was attended by the first Deputy chairman of the RBM RF, the rector of the Moscow Institute of Islamic Studies, the executive secretary of the Muslim International Forum Damir Mukhetdinov, the head of the International Department of the RBM RF Ildar Galeev and the director of the ICSIS "Halal" Aidar Gazizov.

For the first time in state schools in Catalonia (an autonomous region of Spain), children have the opportunity to learn the basics of Islam. This project was launched at the initiative of the Department of Education of Catalonia in six educational institutions. The purpose is to ensure freedom of religion, promote integration and social unity. Local authorities expect more schools to join the project next year
